Hi Affinity Team,

unfortunately, publisher crashed while I was working on a multi-page document.
The file can no longer be opened. Can you please help me?

Operation System:  macOS Big Sur 11.6.2 on an Imac 3,5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
Affinity Publisher: 1.10.4
File saved at: Local disc

Many thanks for your support

Thomas

If you upload the document to the forum someone will have a look at it for you

If it is private you will need to wait for one of the Affinity support personnel to supply you with a Dropbox link

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

No problem at all, many thanks for providing this for me!

It appears as though the corrupted element was the picture frame / linked .afphoto file on Page 54-55 "NOVA_ION6_14.afphoto".

Since removing this Picture Frame, we have been able to recover the document, which I have returned to the email address that your forum account uses.

Our team have requested a copy of this .afphoto file and the .IDML document that was used to create this .afpub file, so we can investigate further to the cause of this.

Can you please provide these two files to the same link, provided above?

Many thanks once again :)

No problem at all, thanks for confirming that for me!

I have passed these files through to our team internally for further testing - just to confirm did you receive the repaired file, and does this open and save correctly for you please? :)
