Artistic text tool automatic setting background color by default

Recommended Posts

This afternoon, while I was making a poster,I happened to double click on the text tool. Then the "Artistic text tool " automatic setting background color, and I can't change it or turn off it.I have meet the same problem with @Xie Yuze , and I follow the method inside to solve the problem. But I don't know what's causing the problem.I've encountered it a few times before, and each time it happens out of nowhere.Sometimes it affects my work schedule.I've uploaded my file below in the hope that it will help developers to fix it.

Nice to know the reason, but what we need is a way to turn it off --- background colour in the character tab is null for instance. Suggestions welcome

With the tool selected, perhaps Edit > Defaults > Factory Reset will help/

Yes it does help, thanks , Walt . At least the brush is not stuck.

I happened to have another bit of artistic text elsewhere on the page prior to the problem and selecting that and using it to set default also worked.

I don't think that the background on text just created can be removed  in a 'proper' way
-- copying the text and pasting it to the (now cleared) Artistic text tool seems to be the only solution.
