in Designer "select same marker color" ("Gleiche MArkerfarbe auswählen") and "Slect same Name" ("Gleichen Namen auswählen") is offered, in publisher not. For what are the Layercolours in publisher?

They are useful for organizing layers visually, and for that purpose I think they have existed longer than the selection functions have been available.

You can also Select them using the Designer Persona of Publisher if you have both applications.

Here on Mac OS 11.6.2 I can use them in both Publisher and Designer plus Photo. No need to use any particular Persona in Publisher.

They are not available in either if there is a multiple layer selection already made.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I'm not sure which "them" you're referring to.

Yes, Layer Tag Colors (the colors at the bottom of the right-click menu in the Layers panel) are available in all 3 applications, and in Publisher in all the Personas.

However, on Windows, Select Same Tag Color is available only from the Layer Select menu in Publisher, and only in the Designer Persona. It is not available in the right-click menu in the Layer panel at all.

Select Same Tag Colour/Name.

If I have one layer selected I can see "them", if I have more than one layer selected I cannot see "them".

All of this is done in the Layers panel with a Right Click or a Control Click on a layer in the layers panel.

Thanks. In Publisher on Windows those options are not available in the right-click menu in the Layers panel. They are available only via the Select menu.

Which Persona are you in? It's available in the Select menu in the Designer Persona for me, from our discussion in your other topic about this.

Hello Walt,

I am in the Publisher persona but the function is also not available in the Designer persona and in the photo persona.

And I'm working on Win10.

Are you looking in the Select menu when in the Designer Persona?
