lauri247 Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Hi, I have made a more mock up designs for my website but it’s stating affinity designer photos cannot be uploaded. Can anyone help with this please. Thank you in advance Quote
PaulEC Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 AFAIK you can't use native Affinity files on the web. I'd suggest that you export your photos as .jpg files and use those instead. Apart from being compatible with all web browsers .jpg files will also have considerably smaller file sizes. lauri247 Posted January 13, 2022 Author Posted January 13, 2022 That’s such a shame, so if I save the mock ups as a JPEG will that work? Thank you Quote
GarryP Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 You need to decide which format(s) to use for the type(s) of images you will be using. Have a look at this web page for information about using images in web pages: https://thrivethemes.com/jpeg-vs-png/ If you are using a website builder then that might have restrictions on the type/size/dpi of image so best to check first. Ron P. Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Yes exporting to JPEG, PNG, will work. Affinity Photo files, afphoto, are proprietary working files. Several other apps use proprietary working files, such as Corel's Paintshop Pro, or PhotoPaint. Those working files (pspimage and cpt) will not work on the web. They must be exported like Affinity Photo's. Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions.
