Adding JPEG Assets

I lost all of my assets - for the second time- when Affinity Photo on iPad crashed.  I have over 100 jpeg textures that I want to import but I can’t find a way to drag them all in at once.  I’ve read over the posts about importing Jpegs on a desktop, but on my iPad, the file folder is grayed out.  I just can’t find a way to select them all and import, either from the Photos App or from Files.

I know how to import from selection once the photo is in, but if anyone can help me avoid dragging and selecting over 100 photos individually, I’d appreciate it.

There is no way to build up an .afassets file other than one asset at a time. You should export to an .afassets file as a backup or for use on another platform. I build my .afassets files and store them in an Affinity Resources folder in iCloud so that I can import them all in a single step to my PC and Mac version of Affinity. Only by creating .afassets files can you import multiple assets at once.

An example of an .afassets file is attached. This is a replacement for the missing shape presets on the iPad version that I created one at a time.

How do I “export to a .afassets file”? Do I need to be on my desktop? (I have both iPad and desktop versions, it’s the iPad that’s causing me problems)

Tap on the three-bar ‘hamburger’ icon at the top of the Assets Studio, choose ‘Export Category’ and browse to the desired location.

Lost all the jpeg photos of skies, clouds, etc. that were stored in assets.  How do I get them back into Assets to be used?

Addendum:  The original Affinity assets do not appear. Photoshop plug ins also disappeared although they are listed in the Preferences folder.

I'm not sure what you mean by the Photoshop Plugins disappearing. Some screenshots might help.

Also, please confirm: This topic is about the Affinity applications on the iPad. Are you using Affinity Photo on the iPad? I didn't know that version of the application had support for Photoshop Plugins at all.
