GregLandry12
When I attempt to scan an image using the "Acquire Image" function, the scan is "garbled" (for want of a better description). I have attached 2 images to show what occurs when I scan an image in Preview and when I scan an image in Affinity Photo. Is there a setting that I need to correct in order to have the Acquire Image function work properly?
Staff MEB Posted January 11, 2022 Staff Share Posted January 11, 2022 Hi @GregLandry12, Welcome to Affinity Forums This is something we are already aware of (logged) but for which we don't have a fix/solution yet, sorry. I've updated/bumped our log with your report. Can you tell us which scanner brand/model are you using please? kevinmcsherry
Same problem here for the last couple of years. I'm using a Brother DCP-L2530DW in OS X Catalina-there must be a Canon equivalent. I take it there must be some legal wrangle going on over software rights or something. The workaround (in my case) is to use BrotheriPrint&Scan in my case but it's an awkward fix and disappointing. GregLandry12
I use Preview on my Mac. It reconizes my Canon LiDE 400 Scanner. The Scan Function in the Canon Scan Utility is useless.
