Request: Separate Photo and Designer Forums

Recommended Posts

rabbitrunnin & VIPStephan,

Originally there were two separate areas, one for Affinity Designer and it included Questions, Feature Requests, and Bugs (and then the beta area). Affinity Photo also had its own area with Questions, Feature Requests, and Bugs (this was of course after Affinity Photo was released as a beta, in the very beginning there was only Designer and so there was only one). I'm not sure the exact reason that the Affinity team combined them but it was confusing because so many people would just post everything into the first Thread or Two (which was Designer-Questions & Feature Requests). I don't know why people did that? Maybe it was confusing to them or they didn't really understand that there were two separate programs or that there were two separate areas for the two different programs? I'm sure that the developers just decided that it was easier to combine them into one than to have two separate areas where people posted everything about both programs. Of course, now you have to decide which program a poster is talking about but normally it is pretty easy to figure out. If a proper tag is used, then it is easier (but it is easy to forget to use one).
