Dave I Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 I'm currently using Lightroom on iPad, iPhone and Windows desktop as the basis for processing and cataloguing my photos. I'm shooting RAW on an Olympus OM-D EM-1 Mkii. I'd like to use Affinity for merging panorama and/or HDR image sets on the iPad when away from home. What would be the best format to use for input to Affinity - Olympus RAW, or DNG, TIFF, or JPEG? What format should I use to export from Affinity back to Lightroom for possible further processing, publishing, and archiving? Quote
Staff stokerg Posted January 12, 2022 Staff Posted January 12, 2022 Hi @Dave Iand Welcome to the Forums, For this i would use TIFF for both Import and Export You could also use JPGs which would give you a smaller file than a TIFF. Dave I 1 Quote

I had the same question, but I’m curious—why TIFF and not DNG or ORF? They are both much smaller files than TIFF and typically considered ‘works in progress’, as opposed to TIFF files which are, more or less, ‘finished’ files. Quote
