Open your Mind ! A List of Effects and Tools i miss in Affinity !

At first i 💖 Affinity ! But i worked not much on it...i used Paint.Net more often....because its simple and easier to use, also its free and i can use Effects !

Also, because Affinity has a lack of simple and useable Content, i use online Websites, i will show you, to give you inspiration.

I know Photoshop Plugins can be imported, and also Affinity can do a lot with Basic and improved technics but i am a lazy Creator too...

So here is a little list of Effects/ Filters or Addons and Tools (whatever its called) i want to have in AffPhoto or kind of this ideas.

 

• Alchemy

Alchemy is a 5 y.o. and forgotten amazing ! Draw Tool Project, where nobody seems to work on. http://al.chemy.org/features/ To have this draw features in Designer or Affinity...->mindblowing. Have a Eye on it or reanimate this cool Thing !!!

• ZALGO (A̶̮̮̮̮̮f̸̘f̸̳̳̳̳i̸̗̗̗̗n̷̩i̷̻̻̻t̶̮̮̮̮̮y̴̳̳ P̶͓Ḩ̶̧̧̧̧o̷͕͕͕͕t̵̮̮̮̮o̴͎͎͎͎)

Zalgo is a Text Manipulation Technic where u can stack diacritics, symbols and ascii code over another (stacked). There a some Online tools who do that. like https://zalgo.org/

• Photomosh

Photomosh is a Website where u can manipulate a Picture oder Animation in with a whole bunch of Effects, that are randomly or optional adjusted. https://photomosh.com/ That would be a damn cool implementation do have Animations inside Affinty which you can stop and Render. OR just watch the kinds of Effects you can use there...its pretty cool.

• Paint.NET Addons i like
• (CMYGhost) A very simple Alpha-Channel and Filter Tool, with negative Switching
• (Color Abberation) shifting/ offset Colors
• (Recolor Gray) give grey tones a Color
• (TR Colorizer HMS) Smoothly adjust between 3 Colors Midtone, Hightone, shadow to achieve effects from Subtle to Extreme
• (pyrochild -gradient bars) i like that Tool - i just make variations of small or bold Bars and fade this also, sadly the tool can not use the colour of the Picture
• (MadJik - Buttons) How cool is that, just put a Button on your Picture (nice for social media)
• (BoltBait - Fire Effects) its a Noise Tool the looks like Flames or Flame Blast
• (Shapes) generate shapes over the Picture, can be useful for golden ratio or quadrat positioning, puzzle like masks, or add additional color lights out or shadow out effect on it
• (TR Strobe Motion) doublicate the picture in any direction and fade opacity out, you can modify the size of start end end picture
• (TR Monolithic) 3D Font generator
• (TR - Intensity warp) a mixed effect that uses the picture in two ways, it uses one to zoom and blend the edges from original picture
• (Mad Jik - Vibrato) What cool thing...a color channel slided function tool, it distorded the picture in a pretty cool way.
• (Pixel Puller and Pusher) a Stretch Tool - its just ART, it bends the picture

The complete Texture Designer Tools is a mess ! Circular Rainbows, Fractals, Moiré, Perlin Noise, Fibonacci Spirals

The complete Distorsion Tools is a mess ! Distorting Mirror, Donut with Wet/Dry FX, per channel gravity distorsion, Jitter by pyrochild, motion sharpener with darkness/lightness/ normal, seamless texture-maker (for endeless pattern with rotating, blending, flipping ), Reverse Fish Eye !!!

And the coolest thing ever RANDOM EFFECT. It just put a random effect with random settings. How lazy can you be?

 

• Add Noise Tools and Fraktal Designer

There some pretty nice Noise Tools in the Paint.Net collection, where you can fast make noise in any kind, any random variation color and so on. Or Fraktal Generators - prettey cool for morphing Masks or something (have a look to Apophysis or the actual Mandelbulber - https://sourceforge.net/projects/mandelbulber/)
