tara25604
Hi, I'm trying to use the clone tool but I'm not able to get it to paint the copied area. I use Alt and click the area to clone and then release the alt where I want to put the cloned information (per the tutorial) but nothing is happening. I've tried doing it multiple ways but nothing ever happens. What am I doing wrong?

tara25604
Hi had created a pixel layer, but it seems it was lost somehow. I added the layer again and it is working to some extent, I'm getting some harsh edges since I can't go far enough over to avoid them. Also, I added the pixel layer but seem to have lost the background layer.

Not sure what you mean but if it is a layer named "Background" note that is just a default layer name used when you open a raster file type with a single-layer, like with normal JPEGs, among others. There is nothing special about that name -- you can change the name of other layers to "Background" or have many with that name. It does not affect anything.
