Affinity Designer spends too much time when saving large document

Issues description:
Affinity Designer always take about 3~4 seconds to save the file, with a progress bar and freeze the layout at saving, even doing only one-step adjustment, such as hide a layer and then save, it's still taking the same time.
I remember when I am using MacBook 16 inches 2019/Intel i9/16G ram, it's pretty fast when saving the same file (about 1~2 secs), especially when doing some small modifications.

Document:
21 Artbords, 64.8 MB

Software:
macOS Monterey 12.0.1
Affinity Designer 1.10.4

Hardware:
MacBook Pro (16 inches, 2021), Apple M1 Max, 64G ram, 2TB SSD

Hi @WaveF,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here, we were extremely busy over the Christmas period and working from home during the pandemic is unfortunately extending our response window to be longer than normal, many thanks for your continued patience and understanding here.

I can confirm there are known 'delay' issues with version 1.10.4 of Affinity and Monterey, as outlined here -

This issue has been tentatively fixed within our latest beta version, which I've linked below. You can install this alongside your retail version, so that you have 2 versions of the Affinity app installed at once -

I'd also recommend updating to Monterey 12.1, as other users on the Forums have noted this also improved performance of the Affinity suite.

I hope this helps :)
