tomek
Photoshop has a very handy transformation feature: distort (Edit->Transform->Distort). What is the Affinity Photo equivalent of this feature? If there isn't one please add it in. It's incredibly useful. Quote about.me
JFisher
Hi Tomek,There's no specific feature for this, but you can convert a quickshape object to curves then use the Node Tool, which would give you the same results. There are also other ways of doing this as MEB has explained in this post. I hope this helps! J
tomek
I think I've found the answer that I wanted: use the perspective filter (Filters->Distort->Perspective). I haven't tried it before because I thought that it would have been similar to PS's perspective transform which in my opinion is not all that useful as it tends to be very fiddly to use. I always end up using Distort because I can achieve the same effect as with Perspective but it's much more intuitive and predictable. It turns out that I should leave all my assumptions some place safe and just try things out. I am certainly more and more impressed with Affinity Photo the more I use it. Staff MEB Posted December 3, 2015 Staff Share Posted December 3, 2015 Hi Tomek You also have this available as a Live Filter (Layer ▸ New Live Filter Layer ▸ Perspective Filter) although it only works with a single plane. tomek
The live layer option does not appear to be available to me. I am running AP 1.3.5 (Trial). See attached screenshot. Quote about.me
Staff MEB Posted December 4, 2015 Staff Share Posted December 4, 2015 Hi tomek, Sorry, currently it's only available in the Beta. It will be available in the next Mac App Store update. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
