There is no other option. It would be very helpful to be able to add all currently open files to such stacks (like in Photoshop). This would allow to e.g. edit raw files first and then stitch a panorama without previous export to disk and/or support the transfer from a DAM software to Affinity Photo for stitching, further editing...
