ISSUE - Affinity Using 99% (16GB) Memory

Recommended Posts

First of all, I really need to thank you Serif.

After the last update, everytime I try to open my project, the memory usage goes to 99% (16GB) and I can´t work, save, or nothing.

IT IS A HUGE PROJECT, AND NOW I CAN´T DO NOTHING WITH IT.

How can you guys help this very happy and full of joy customer?

Best regards.

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear about you issue.

Please immediately make backup copies of the document. If possible, check for older versions available.

First, please disable Edit>Preferences>Performance>OpenCL, and check again.

Did you purchase from Affinity or Microsoft store?

I would recommend to use the factory reset of Designer, Please export and backup all settings (symbols, macros, assets, etc).

If this does not solve the issue, deinstall Designer and download the older version to check if the file opens.

My posts focus on technical aspects and leave out most of social grease like „maybe“, „in my opinion“, „I might be wrong“ etc. just add copy/paste all these softeners from this signature to make reading more comfortable for you. Otherwise I’m a fine person which respects you and everyone and wants to be respected.
