AdamStanislav
t the entrance to Plato’s Academy, a sign said ΑΓΕΩΜΕΤΡΗΤΟΣ ΜΗΔΕΙΣ ΕΙΣΙΤΩ, or if you prefer lower-case letters, αγεωμετρητοσ μηδεισ εισιτω. I just did this in Affinity Designer. Alas, the SVG export looks horrible, so here is the PNG version. AdamStanislav
Oh, and it means essentially Ageometer, no admittance. I suspect the hidden meaning was that if you do not know geometry, you’re not smart enough for higher education.

v_kyr
Well it's questionable! - The assertion handed down by authors of late antiquity that there was an inscription in Plato's academy that forbade anyone unfamiliar with geometry from entering is certainly not true. Quote ... https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platonische_Akademie ... ... "No one should enter who did not know geometry"! Plato believed that geometry and mathematics were the only sure way to approach the world of ideas and God. - According to other interpretation of ancient greek language, the word "agiometer" had a broader meaning, referring to the lack of measure or wisdom.
