Alfred
I’m sure we discussed something like this in relation to another project of yours, Josie, but try adapting the design in the attached file. (I can't try my iPad right now.) What happens when you download it to your iPad and try to open it there? Josie
I would like to do it with 4 hearts and make it a 4 leaf clover.
Josie
I’d like to do a 4 leaf clover with the heart tool in AD using my iPad. Here is the actual photo on the left and here is what I have. Thanks
Alfred
For a better match to the shape in the photo, shrink the hearts so they don’t overlap so much. And maybe reduce the ‘Spread’ value (default 20%) to 10% or 15%. I like the colour you’ve chosen, but you could easily make it darker if desired. When I said “so they don’t overlap so much” I just meant they should overlap less. I didn’t mean to suggest that they shouldn’t overlap at all. I’ve attached a quick demo file. Here’s a screenshot showing the small amount of overlap between the five elements: Lucky.afdesign Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)

Alfred
That looks great, Josie! (I would have made the stalk a bit longer, but that’s just me.) Josie
What does omit one of the leaves mean to do the design I want?
kaffeeundsalz
It means that instead of a four-leaf clover, you now got a three-leaf clover. If that is what you want to achieve, keep it. The design is fine. Alfred
Josie
How do I get the design to look exactly like the one in the photo? Using this shamrock? I’ve did it the two ways and just didn’t look right to me. Thanks
