PhoDesPub
The new Asus Pro Art Studiobooks have a so-called "Asus Dial", a rotary knob to simplify certain functions in Adobe programmes. Is it planned that the Affinity programmes will also support this function?
v_kyr
I highly doubt that! - There are several such devices on the market, as for example from Microsoft, Logitech and other third party manufactors of such auxiliary Dial-devices etc. - AFAIK none of these is directly supported by Affinity software. Those devices often have programming APIs and control driver software they come along, so other software third parties can adapt their software for supporting the specific device. But in my experience, if the device manufactor doesn't apply itself a specific software support, then there is seldom someone else who spends the time to adapt those devices to other specific software! The Microsoft Dial has some specific support in the Affinity applications, but not as much as users have asked for. And I doubt Serif would invest the time in any other such devices, but only they would know for sure, of course (and they are unlikely to comment). rafaeldrumond
If someone wanted to build, let's say, an Arduino dial to adjust the color sliders for example. Where would one had too look or read to make such device/plugin? davemac2015
