Snowcap1
Affinity Photo will not let me close it. Says I'm still processing and I'm not. Consequently Affinity stays open when I attempt to shut down my computer. You know guys I want to learn this so bad but I just seem to get rebuked at every turn. I'm just getting very frustrated at this point. If someone could pleas e help me I would appreciate it very much.
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Snowcap1. How are you trying to close it? What have you done before that? What OS are you using? Can you give us a screenshot of your application window, so we can see its current status? Ron P.
You're screenshot shows the Develop Persona. To exit it, you need to either Develop or Cancel. Old Bruce
You are in the Develop Persona. You also need to show the Context Toolbar and the Toolbar. Go to View > Show Context Toolbar and View > Show Toolbar. Now you can cancel the 'develop' operation. walt.farrell
You are in the Develop Persona, possibly because you Opened a RAW image file, and you have not finished processing it. You need to click on the Develop button, or the Cancel button, in the Context Toolbar. However, you have done something to hide that Toolbar. To fix that, use View > Show > Context Toolbar. But before you do that, you're also missing the Toolbar. You could fix that using View > Show Toolbar. But, you're also missing the Status Bar. So I suspect that what you did was you pressed the Tab key, which hides all of the User Interface, and you perhaps have been poking around trying various things to fix that, rather than simply pressing Tab again. So I would first press Tab, and then see about using View to restore other things you may need. Snowcap1
Thanks guys. What would have caused that to go away. I don't recall doing anything that might have caused it but who knows what I might have done.

With everything that's missing, pressing Tab (when not editing a text object) is the most likely cause. Snowcap1
Hey Walt found it. I appreciate your help. Affinity is not easy, especially I think for an older person such as myself. But I will keep trying.
