Can I import date into text fields over multiple pages?

Recommended Posts

I have multiple fields for date on each page and that repeats on many pages. Is there a way to have the date auto input itself? It would start with January 1st until December 31st. Date format very likely would be 01.01.2022. or 1. January 2022. Though month names won't be in English.

I'm making a planner with a week per two pages and I'm trying to find out if I can avoid manually adding dates for each day of the week.

I'm working in Publisher.

Hello and welcome to the forums, @_Vin_.

My only solution I can think of here would be to work with data merging. To do this, you would have to create a table-like text file with all the daily data for 2022.

For example, like this:

Date
01.01.2022

31.12.2022

AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | INTEL Arc A770 LE 16 GB  | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (22631.3085)
AMD A10-9600P | dGPU R7 M340 (2 GB)  | 8 GB DDR4 2133 MHz | Windows 10 Home 22H2 (1945.3803)

Thanks, I'll look into how to do that!

Another way is to have a simple Text File with the same data in it and then set up a Week Date paragraph style and using linked Text frames you can have the Week Date set to start in a new frame.

Considering that this is an annual calendar the Merge function would be better in that you could include in the spreadsheet important dates or information to be included. Just one file and all that stuff would be imported into the correct pages at the same time. The other stuff added is something to think about.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.2
Affinity Designer 2.3.1 | Affinity Photo 2.3.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.3.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
