Affinity Designer not responding

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I downloaded Affinity Design on Nov. 17th, 2015.  I am using a MacBook Pro that has the following system specs.

Hardware Overview:

  Model Name: MacBook Pro

  Model Identifier: MacBookPro3,1

Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo

  Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz

  Number of Processors: 1

  Total Number of Cores: 2

  L2 Cache: 4 MB

  Memory: 4 GB

  Bus Speed: 800 MHz

  Boot ROM Version: MBP31.0070.B07

  SMC Version (system): 1.16f11

  Serial Number (system): W87334AXX91

  Hardware UUID: 00000000-0000-0100-8000-001B63892FEC

  Sudden Motion Sensor:

  State: Enabled

I was able to run the program for a short time, but now when I start the program it fails to open.  Any help would be great.

Thank you for your time.

Dan

Hi JFisher,

I tried "Clear" but the program still ended up not responding, then I tried reinstalling and the same problem happened.  I really need the program work so I can work on a project of my sisters upcoming wedding.  Not sure where to go from here, any other suggestions would be great.

Thank you,

Dan

Please help

You are posting to a 6 years old thread that was started by a user with an "antique" MacBook Pro from 2007 (!) which is definitely one of the main reasons why they have performance problems. (I own a MacBook Pro 2008, among others, which may perform slightly better, but it can  feel sluggish at times, especially as long as it still had a spinning hard drive rather than SSD.)

So, please either search for another thread that describes the issues you're having on a comparable computer like the one you're using.
Or start a new thread and post as many technical informations about your setup as possible, including e.g. a screencast to demonstrate the steps you're perfoming that lead to "wheel turning".
Thanks

Did you read loukash's reply? You're responding to a 6 year old post. Furthermore, that person has only 3 total posts, so it's doubtful he's frequenting the forums. In fact he last visited in May 2016
