Eskimotom Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Trying to paint on a blank canvas. When I select a brush and change it's size, the highlight in brush panel (showing me which brush I'm using) disappears and I no longer know which brush is currently selected. Quote

It's a somewhat odd and confusing way of thinking, but technically, once you've changed a brush setting you're no longer using any of those brushes. So, in a way, it's correct to remove the brush highlight. But certainly many users have asked for an improvement so they can see what brush their current brush was based on. This happens other places in the Affinity User Interface, too, which also generates complaints.
