AstroJazz Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 I've just purchased Affinity Photo and tried to use it to stack some images. I had loaded some light frames and calibration frames - selected Stack and program just terminated. I'm not able to read the crash report to find out why. Quote

Staff stokerg Posted November 29, 2021 Staff Posted November 29, 2021 Hi @AstroJazzand Welcome to the Forums, Can you try opening Affinity and click Edit>Preferences>Performance and at the bottom of this window is an option for OpenCL, if that's ticked, untick and close Preferences and you'll be asked to restart Affinity. Once restarted, try stacking the images again and let me know the results. Quote
AstroJazz Posted November 29, 2021 Author Posted November 29, 2021 Hi @stokerg The Hardware Acceleration box was not ticked, and the system would not allow me tick the box (Unsupported Machine Configuration) I loaded 4 groups of light images and they stack OK, but if I try to add groups of calibration images Affinity crashes during the stack process Quote
Staff stokerg Posted November 29, 2021 Staff Posted November 29, 2021 Hi @AstroJazz, 3 minutes ago, AstroJazz said: I loaded 4 groups of light images and they stack OK, but if I try to add groups of calibration images Affinity crashes during the stack process Can you upload the images to our Dropbox here and i can get them logged with the Dev team as a crash is always unwanted behaviour and it sounds like there is something about those images that Affinity just doesn't like. AstroJazz Posted November 29, 2021 Author Posted November 29, 2021 I've loaded a zip file containing the light frames and calibration frames. The light frames were taken using Photometric filters, so I've used I band for luminance and V band for Green Quote
AstroJazz Posted May 10, 2022 Author Posted May 10, 2022 It's now 5 months since I loaded the requested images - can the Dev team offer any explanations? Quote
ChrisJmio Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Hi AstroJazz, Any Luck finding an answer to this? Affinity doesn't seem to like Fuji .RAF or Adobe DNG files. JPG's seem to work. Regards, Chris, Quote
AstroJazz Posted August 1, 2022 Author Posted August 1, 2022 Hi Chris, Absolutely no response at all, and I'm using fits format files generated out of Maxim DL, so shouldn't be an issue. Regards Steve Quote
