Hello All !

I just bought Designer to use it as an architect. I import SVG from the CAD Software QCAD. The files shows in Microsoft Edge which does support display of

SVG Files. Sadly in Designer I cannot see my lines. I tried information from the forum here such as release the layer and select / copy all the contents.

I checked the thickness of lines, the colour everything to my knowledge.

My file attached as reference. Thanks guys and have good weekends.

Welcome to the forums @Netsrek

Is this a problem specifically with the beta or the commercial release? (This section of the forms is only for problems with the beta release.)

When using Designer 1.10.4.1198 (current commercial release) on Windows 10 Home, I can confirm that Placing the SVG into a document gives me a blank layer. Editing the embedded document gives me nothing to see either, even though the curves can be seen in the Layers Panel.

However, editing the SVG in Notepad++, selecting all the text, and then Pasting into Designer shows me the graphic as I would expect (even if I don’t know that it’s totally correct as we were not given the original image to check against).

The layers are actually outside of the embedded document area; they can be dragged down to be inside the document area and seems well.

I believe there is a problem with the viewBox somewhere along the line but can’t easily check which software is ‘doing the wrong thing’.

Thanks a lot GarryP, you are right this is actually the commercial version. So if someone could move it that would be much appreciated.

Thanks everyone for the responses and testing my file.

I was now able to see the drawing aided by your suggestions about the location within in the document.

Will have to find out why this happens but glad to be able to work.

This issue happens with both the commercial version and the beta release, at least on Windows it does.

Perhaps, but the beta is not relevant at the moment, as there is no active beta on Windows and we're all supposed to be using the retail release.
