Hi, I have the following question. A few months ago I have purchased Affinity Photo. Until last week I didn't have any problems. However, over the last week I have noticed that all files which I edit in Affinity Photo have horizontal stripes on them after exporting. The stripes are always a little different, but are always there. It doesn't matter what kind of editing I do or to which type of file I export the photos. It also happens to scanned images. I have added two exported files of the same photo to illustrate my problem; twice I exported the file after editing and both times the stripes appeared. I hope you can help me with this problem. I have tried to reset Affinity but this doesn't help. thank you in advance, kind regards Marjolein.

Hi @Mrjln12,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

I can confirm this is a known issue with certain setups using Hardware Acceleration - if you navigate to Edit > Preferences > Performance and untick this option at athe bottom of the dialog then restart the Affinity app, you should find it no longer occurs.

In order for me to provide information to our developers, can you please confirm for me:

  • What version of Affinity Photo is installed?
  • What version of Windows is installed?
  • What GPU does your system use for hardware acceleration?
  • Do you know the driver version in use for this card?

Many thanks in advance!

Hello today i discovered the same issue. I was able to stop it by deactivating hardware acceleration.

I use:

1.10.5.1342 trial version

Windows 10

Intel 11700 with UHD750

Best regards
