tooks me a time to figure that I have to manually select layer to be able flood select, very annoying bug. One layer needs to be active permanently to avoid UX user confuse.

Hi @Adam Šída,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble! I can confirm this isn't explicitly a bug within the Affinity app - as the Flood Selection Tool has a Source option on the Context Toolbar, which can either be set to Current Layer or All Layers.

When set to Current Layer, you need an active layer selection for the tool to work.

When set to All Layers, you don't need an active selection, you can simply click on the canvas to create your selection.
