I would like to be shown step by step from start to finish how to do it.

Carl’s file shows you the ‘steps’. All you need to do is open the Layers Studio and inspect the added layers.

Carl used a Segment shape, which doesn’t seem to be available in the iPad version of AD, but in this particular case (where the segment goes from 50% to 100%) the Crescent shape (left curve 0%, right curve 100%) will do just as well. Alternatively, copy the segment shape from Carl’s version of the file and paste it into your original one.

Select the Group shown below, then do...

Layer > Arrange > Move Outside

Maybe it’s just me, Josie, but I think you’re making things unnecessarily complicated by creating a separate brown segment and trying to match the curvature of the green round-cornered rectangle. If you want the top part of the round-cornered rectangle to be green and the bottom part brown, make it all brown and then nest a green shape inside it.

Open the attached file, select the four green shapes and Boolean ‘Add’ them to make a single green curve. Drag the green curve to the clipping position for the brown rectangle.

If you’ve done it right, the design on the canvas should look like this:

When I do that I have a line in my design that I can’t get rid of.

What about when you do it with my file? ears.gif

You mentioned that in your previous post but you still haven’t responded to the question I asked in my reply!

The line in your version probably occurs because the Segment shape isn’t aligned to the pixel grid. The Y coordinate is 7846.9 instead of a whole number like 7847.

By the way, you might like to take a minute to familiarize yourself with the controls for the Arrow shape. Setting one end to ‘None’ is a lot quicker and easier than drawing the default double-headed arrow and then masking it with a rectangle to hide one of its ends.

I still get a line in the middle of my design when I put the 3 ellipse inside the segment to make it look the way I want. How do I get rid of the line across my design using the iPad in AD when the Y in the transform studio for the segment is already at 7846.9.

Taking me forever to figure it out.

‘Still get the same result I’ve tried everything and every which way figuring it out.

please help

When I do it with your file it does the same thing

I think you must mean @carl123’s file! Nobody has downloaded mine, but Carl’s file has been downloaded more than twenty times.

Here is what I have with the design finished. Please tell me how I did it because I don’t know how I did the design and I got it right.

That looks great, Josie! If you manage to figure out what you did, do it again and make a video, or save it with history and post the result.
