The old DrawPlusX3 had a tool which allowed you to type a word or line of text, then shape it where the letters in the middle of the word were larger than those at the beginning or end, thereby creating a "bow" effect. I can't find a way to do this with Affinity Designer. Any help or comments are appreciated.

There's currently no way to do this in Designer. Closest to this is using Affinity Photo, and then the text must be rasterized first. Then you can use the Mesh Warp Tool. There have been several requests for a tool in Designer to distort and/or warp objects and texts.

As of now, not possible to Warp the vector without rasterizing them, but you might want to look into a free workaroung, by clicking here.

Best regards!
