I downloaded the Windows version of Affinity designer recently. I'm new. So when I open a new board in Affinity Designer, I see My Presets and 2nd from the end is Devices. In Devices, most selections are Apple products? Also, near by in Layout, under Default there are choices for Apple products as a default device? There  are  no choices say for Windows 7,8,or 10 for example. Nothing against Apple, this just looks weird. What's up with this ??

I believe those are for people designing user interfaces for those devices. These are just shortcuts for people designing for those screen sizes. As Windows and macOS aren't devices and don't have specific screen sizes, you won't see them listed under devices.

Those are just built-in presets for a variety of mobile devices, mostly intended for prototyping mockups. Most are for popular Apple devices but there are also a few others, including one for the Surface Pro 2.
