mrqasq Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Hi Client send me 6 flags to be printed (TIFF format, so I use Photo). They are of strange, not standard size 112x256cm. Since they will have to be sewed after printing, I have to resize their canvases to make room for the sewing to take place. 1. After I opened first file, I have to manualy use Resize Canvas option, and input my desired numbers. 2. After that I hit ok and canvas is bigger. Here I would like to see an option like in PS, so it would ask me with which color I want to add to canvas (I could than measure the color with eyedropper and this already would save me a lot of work in next step..) 3. Now I have to select pixels (usually in PS this would be 1px row selection, but in Photo it doesnt work good when streching this pixel data, it gives strange transparent looking gradient, even when I just strech black background for example) What I would like to see would be an option to repeat last operation on any new file opened. So I would resize canvas of 1 flag. Than click on another file opened and do "Ctrl+R" to repeat same canvas resizing to this flag, and again and again. This could save me a lot of time. For now I record and action working on one file, and than replaying them, but this is just a workaround, as I'm than left with dozens of actions. Each for different size, and having many many clients means I have to store many many actions. This is not good. Help me. Another big thing. Please merge our triumvirat of apps into 1 for all clients that would like that. Working in Publisher is so nice not having to constantly switch between apps and open in Photo, open in Designer etc. In Publisher we have aplication persona's.. I would like to (I own all 3 apps) to have just 1 app for all operations, and not 3 seperate. I can't count how many times I open tiff file in Photo. Than I see it contains objects aswell. I think to myself lest inspect this black color to see if it's not too deep. I choose 1 object and go to Select, but than I see I dont have select same color since Im in Photo. I have to reopen in Designer to select all objects and change color. Than I want to apply selective color correction to all blacks that are bitmaps - wow, I can't since Im in Designer, I have to switch back to Photo... This is stupid. Than i think to myself, maybe opening all files directly in Publisher, and use it as my main appliaction? How you guys are dealing with this strange restrictions and jumping from app to app? Maybe I'm alone in my observations? Maybe my workflof is bad? PS. Also where is an option to set centimeters once and forever to be displayed in anything in my application? How many thousends times I will have to set it froim points or pixels into centimeteres? Quote

mrqasq Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 You obviously didn't understood my question. This has to be repeated each document. I want to set it once and for all. Where there is a day I have to import 100 photos and edit them, and I can't do batch because they are different sizes to begin with - than I just have to set centimeters 100 times. This isn't best. Or I could switch my brain to operate in pixels and add pixels Quote

Maybe because you obviously didn't say anything like that in your post. Bye. mrqasq Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 I don't want to be rude but in my first post i said it clearly : how to set ONCE and FOREVER - for appliaction. I haven't asked about document. It's obvious to me you can set it in document settings. Let's end it here since soon we will be mad at ourselfves because of an appliaction lacking basic functionality. Quote
