We intend to release version 1.4 in December and could do with some help finding any critical issues before we submit to the App Store. What's New in Affinity 1.4 Photo focused - Panorama photo stitching - El Capitan support including Affinity extensions for Apple Photos - Live Stacks - Auto-aligned layers for creating composites - Choice of Raw processing engines in the Develop persona - Haze Removal filter - New alpha selection features (select Opaque/Transparent/Partially Transparent) - Clipping preview added in Levels adjustment - Perspective (single plane) added as a live Filter Layer - User-adjustable controller ramps for brush variances Designer focused - Artboards – it took us a year but well worth the wait! - Snapshots – named states of your design you can return to later - Adjustable centre of rotation - Ability to hide the selection while dragging - Move tool option allows parent objects to move without their child layers New for both - Canvas rotation - Full support for expanded gamut DCI-P3 displays in new retina iMacs - PDF/X pro printing including Spot Colours and overprint control - Trim, bleed and crop marks for print and PDF export - Pantone and Global colour support - Customisable keyboard shortcuts - New ‘Split Toning’ adjustment and adjustment layer - New ‘Contrast Negate’ blend mode - Character and Paragraph panels; advanced on-screen text controls - Live OpenType feature previews in the Typography panel - Added Recent Fonts list - PSD export now better supports third party apps including Motion and Final Cut Pro X - Italian, Portuguese (Brazilian) and Japanese languages added - Numerous other fixes and improvements The current beta versions of Designer and Photo are available from the Affinity Beta forum. The downloads are pinned at the top of either the Affinity Designer Beta or Affinity Photo Beta sub-forums. The beta versions install along side your App Store version so please give them a try and post feedback on the beta forums. Don’t worry if your favorite feature hasn’t made it into Affinity yet as we will be adding many more features and improvements next year.
