I am using an iMac with Monterey

3.6GHz 10-core Intel core i9

32GB memory

AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4 GB

I have had this irritating issue right from the start so I can rule out the OS.

So, what happens is that I move between a brush and the Clone tool and every now and again everything stops, I get the spinning wheel of death for just a second or two and then it starts to work again. Sometimes it can be longer but then again I can go for a long period with no interruptions.

The images that I am working with is around 1465 x 2358 at 600dpi.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!!

We have released a 1.10.5 beta build of Affinity Photo for the Mac apps that has fixes for some issues discovered with the Monterey OS can you please try this beta and let me know if you are still having the same issue when you switch between the brush and clone tool.

The idea that DWright suggested did work.

Since I have updated to Ventura 13.0 this issue is still persisting.

I have mentioned other issues after updating to Ventura and it is something that is being looked into after numerous reports.

Can someone tell me if this issue is also being looked into.

I am currently using AF2.0 version 2.0.3.

Thanks in advance!
