Tjor Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 (edited) Prior ver 1.10.3, i've been typing Vietnamese telex without any issue. After updating, Designer cannot do complex typing on already accented vowels. For example: mo >> mơ (this is 1 stage of accented with "w" in telex system) mơ >> mớ (this is 2nd stage of accented with "s" added) Whichever above goes 1st is the same. This is where problem happens, in this version, i can only type 1 stage, if i add another stage, it will be "mơ >> mơs" or "mó >> mów". At first i thought this problem happened from me since i was moving to a new ipad, and there was problem with keyboard or unicode system, but its not. This only happens inside Designer. And it has been typing just fine prior updating. I compared this to my old Ipad which was still typing just fine and found out that it still had ver 1.10.2, while the new one has 1.10.3. This problem arose, and also problem with storage hog, i decided to try deleting the app completely then reinstall, but it still didn't fix the typing. I mainly work with English contents, but sometimes i need to type Vietnamese and this annoys me somehow. Edited November 15, 2021 by Tjor Quote

This problem comes from the app itself so regardless of which file im working with, it's the same. The only way i can get you to test this is to add Vietnamese keyboard on Ipad (the default system is Telex), then you go into Designer and test the typing. Im using the Pro M1 12.9 (state this just in case the problem comes from the ipad itself). To add accented vowels, you either double press or add "w" to a,e,o >> â, ă, ê, ô, ơ. Then for 2nd stage, you will use s, f, j, r, x. For example: If you use "e" double press >> ê, then add "s" >> ế. If it's not working like mine, it will be "ês" instead of "ế". Happens to any fonts that support Vietnamese, i was testing with Arial. Thank you for replying, and look forward to your testing result. Edited November 17, 2021 by Tjor DWright 1 Quote
