tonyrambler Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Hello all, I am building a 300 page book and the TOC needs additions that are not covered by simply including certain styles automatically—eg., there are section headings that need to go in but not all of them and I need to add them manually. I am trying to recreate the page number placement on the additional, manual entries but I can't seem to find a formatting option that lines everything up properly with the auto-generated page number column. Tabs don't do it, neither does force justification (as far as I can tell.) I hope this makes sense and I'd appreciate any clues. Quote
Old Bruce Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 If it was me doing this I would either come up with two Paragraph styles for the sections, (Include in ToC and Not in ToC) which would differ only in the name. Or I would place all of the Sections in the ToC and then manually delete the ones I don't want. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
walt.farrell Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 I would use the approach of two different Paragraph Text Styles. That's cleaner, in my opinion, than needing to do manual editing of any kind in the TOC.
