I am having similar issues on my Mac Pro OSX Mojave Version 10.14.6

I updated my Affinity Photo to the latest version 1.10.4 and now I can't use it. I click on the dropdown menu without a file open - no problem. I open a file that I was working on previously and then the dropdown menus are multi coloured and illegible. They're pixelated and shifting around, then my screen starts glitching and I have to force quit the software.

It's happening with Photo and Publisher won't open a new file, I haven't updated it. Designer doesn't have any issues and I also have not updated it yet.

I am a graphic designer and so I have clients waiting on work I can't complete. I would love to have a fix for this issue before I lose my only source of income.

Kind Regards

Juniper

The issue about the pixelated glitches on the top of the desktop is also mine.  I downloaded and installed the Beta version suggested above, but it had no effect on the glitch. I attempted to open the same file I tried to open when I first found the problem. I use a mid-2012 MBP. I did all the things I could think of, including reinstalling the OS (Mojave). I trashed the first  install of Affinity Photo, then reinstalled it from the .dmg file I'd saved from the original install a couple years ago. Any ideas? Mojave is worked well. This is the first pro lem.

Thanks,

George

Same issue here using the latest version of Affinity Photo 1.10.4 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013). Mojave 10.14.6.

Any news on that topic?

Thanks,

Luckley

Hi @Luckley,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Can you please download/install the latest Affinity Photo Customer Beta 1.10.5.270 from here. Hopefully it will fix these issues for you. Keep the retail version installed - the next update will include the fixes in the Beta and make it "functional" again. Let us know if you still experience these issues.
NOTE: The Retail and Beta are independent from each other so you can have both installed at the same time.

Solved for me! Go into Preferences > Performance > Metal compute turn off and also change the Renderer to OpenGL and restart the app.
