Steve Ellaway
Hi I'm having problems paint brushing the FFT details in Affinity Photo Filters. The selected Brush diameter is much bigger than the actual blacked-out circle. ( I couldn't get a screenshot because the Circle circle guide-lines didn't show up). But the actual painted area is about a third smaller than the brush size. Thanks Chris B
Joachim_L
Welcome to the Affinity forums @Steve Ellaway! Have a look at the top of the denoise window where you can set the brush size (and other settings) or maybe I did not understand your problem ... Staff Chris B Posted November 11, 2021 Staff Share Posted November 11, 2021 Hey Steve Ellaway, The reticle is slightly offset for me - I'll feed this back to the developers. I've also found another bug on the Windows version so thanks for bringing this to my attention. Update - I think I was doing it in the middle so it was stamping two brushes making it look offset. Can we have a video to see what you're seeing please Steve? Steve Ellaway
Hi Chris. Thank you for your quick reply. I have done as you said and made a screen recording of the FFT issue. I hope it makes sense! Cheers Steve Affinity.mov Chris B
Staff Chris B Posted November 11, 2021 Staff Share Posted November 11, 2021 Thanks for that. Yours is miles off! I get maybe a few pixels because of the 80% Hardness but yours looks more like you're using almost 50% Hardness, despite it saying 80%. I will poke this a bit more and feed it back to the developers—thank you. Steve Ellaway
Hi Chris. Thanks again, but I have just discovered that I'm having the exactly the same issue with brushes in Photoshop!! It's mind-boggling! So it must be an Apple Monterey M1 issue?! It doesn't make sense. I don't know if your Affinity developers cam make sense of it? Steve Ellaway
Hi Chris. Solved! I figured it out..... when I first bought the iMac I changed the size of the mouse cursor.... and that effected the size of the brush in all my apps! Thanks again for your support. Take care Steve Chris B
