somewhereinusa
Not sure how to ask the question. Tried searching but didn't know what to search for. Is there a way to reset an objects rotation to 0 without turning it? Meaning I have rotated the object and I now want it's new orientation to be 0. thomaso
Affinity doesn't offer yet such a reset option to reset object transformations as new 'zero' (or '100%') base. As a workaround the function "Cycle Selection Box" might help, though it is not permanently and works for a single action only: –> You can create a feature request in one of the according forums. walt.farrell
For some kinds of objects, you can select the object and try Layer > Geometry > Add but it will not work for Groups. For many other kinds of objects it will reset the rotation to 0. However, it will have side effects, as it will also convert the object to a (Curve) object, which may change some of the object's functionality if it wasn't a Curve already. For example, the shape objects (Rectangle, etc.) will no longer be adjustable in the same way they were before. somewhereinusa
Thanks for the replies, I always seem to want things that I can't have. 😁 It isn't really a problem except for my own ocd. Those selection boxes being not square make the combined group bigger that it actually is. walt.farrell and Adam_D
