Double-click and drag not functional

Recommended Posts

I'm working in publisher, and I've noticed that double clicking on a word and then dragging should expand the selection to entire other words, but it doesn't seem to be functioning? Ctrl + Shift + Arrow does work as intended, but it seems like the mouse doesn't have the functionality?

Is this a bug or just a feature that doesn't exist? It's a pretty fundamental part of my workflow.

Affinity Publisher 1.10.4.1198

When I use the double click and then drag I do not expect whole words to be selected. I expect the selected word to be moved to where I drag it.

This is on Mac so maybe there is a difference between the two OSes.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

That's what I expect on Windows, too, and it's how both Publisher and other applications such as LibreOffice and NotePad++ work. @Gabe's answer that it had been reported to the Developers surprised me.

1. Double click (do not release mouse button) and drag should select the next word(s)

2. Double click (release mouse button) and drag should move the selected word.

Publisher fails on No 1 above

That does not work for me either, in Publisher on Windows. It does work in NotePad++ and LibreOffice.
