Incorrect color space when export PDF

Recommended Posts

Document created using CMYK/8 Japan Color Coated 2001 profile, when exporting PDF, the page which contains imported sRGB photo will show as sRGB color space in photoshop import(pdf) dialog. All export settings not working including "Convert image color spaces" and "Embed color profiles", only "Soft proof Adjustment" filter works, but it will crash the application in some large documents, tried in Publisher & Designer with no luck.

Software: Affinity Publisher 1.10.4
MacOS: 10.15.7

What if you export as PDF/X with this document profile & the profile option 'convert' activated? This should force the viewing (or opening) app to use this document profile, not a possibly available image resource profile.

What profile info do you get if you open this PDF in Affinity?

(p.s.: 'Softproof' profiles are not meant to be used for exports but rather for control of adjustments before export, its layer may get set to invisible before export).
I wonder if the crashes may result from a conflict between the 4 profiles to be respected (1 document, 2 image source, 3 softproof, 4 export/pdf) / while 2 are the same (1+3).
