Pike Fire
Just upgraded my Macbook to Monterey 12.0.1. Using Affinity Photo 1.10.4 Now, whenever I try to export or save a file, I get nothing. Export menu will at least pop up and ask what type of file I would like to export it to, but I get no save menu. Clicking "save as" does absolutely nothing. Program will not fully close and is not saving preference settings either. Checked the Permissions menu in System preferences and Affinity has Full Disk Access, just as before. Just lost a large project because of this. Very upset. Please help.
walt.farrell
Possibly you could try the Photo 1.10.5.270 Beta which has some Monterey-specific fixes. Pike Fire
Well, it works... sort of. All of the shortcuts are broken. For instance, "Shift-B" normally pulls up the Brightness/Contrast adjustment. No longer. Now it selects the brush tool. I can't find a shortcut for the Brightness/Contrast adjustment, anywhere. Please tell me you guys won't keep it this way. These adjustment shortcuts are critical when using a drawing tablet.
Pike Fire
I take it back. The Beta allowed me to save and export for a short time. It stopped working again. I am unable to save or export my work. walt.farrell

However, the custom keyboard shortcuts that are in the official version are not in the Beta version. I cannot find ANY shortcuts for adjustment settings. They were in the previous versions. That's the reason for my post - I was afraid that they changed these shortcuts in upcoming versions.
Pike Fire
Ok, after much experimenting, the problem seems to be with external monitors. I have three in my studio connected to my Macbook Pro and the only way I was able to get the "Save As" menu to appear was to unplug all of the monitors and use the laptop display. This needs to be fixed, Affinity. Please!

Just to confirm: you've looked in Keyboard Preferences, for the Photo Persona (1 below), Layers menu (2), and there are no "New Adjustment" shortcuts showing up (3)? Mine are more strictly alphabetical, so New Adjustment Layer follows Merge Visible, and New Empty Mask Layer significantly precedes New Mask Layer (which is much later in the list, after all the New Live Filter entries). It's probably not relevant to this question, but I noticed that your screenshot was much different from mine, which might cause confusion in some cases. Thanks. That's looks like what I see for the Layer menu on Windows, so the difference is that on Windows the shortcuts are displayed alphabetically, rather than in the order shown on the menu. Not sure which I prefer, nor whether they should be displayed differently that way. Pike Fire
Has there been any forward movement on this problem? I am still unable to save or export on my Mac since the latest update. To clarify: - The Beta worked for a short time and then stopped working. Unable to save or export, just like the version 1.10.4. - The issues (as discovered in other forums and/or threads is multi-monitor support). It worked fine before the 12.0.1 Mac OS update. - The problems I had with shortcuts for keys was tangental, isolated to the Beta, and not meant to become an issue on this thread. Had I known it was going to become such a talking point, I would have never brought it up. I just need Affinity to fix the program so that it runs friendly with Mac 12.0.1 If I were the only one having this problem, I could understand the delay, but there are several threads with people going through the same thing. So far, the only fix is to unplug all external monitors. I am not going to do that.
