Maybe nitpicking @StuartRc but shouldn't the right zombie/creature be smaller?

I see your point but maybe it is just taller...are all humans equal height?

I like your work - it often reminds me of many things. Check out the art concepts of "Riven" (Cyan game company) - and because you have the talent, I would like to see you try something along those lines.

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

These are not my own words but I sure like this quote.

Hi Thanks!....It reminds me of a lot of things as well....sore eyes...worn out Wacom!....
I had a look at 'Riven' artwork, very impressive...You should have said 'Myst'.. I would not have had to ask Google...:)

I can see what you mean...I will have a think about what the next image could be!...But I think a vector version of this might be the next option...(and some more resources!).. Have a look at Luca Pisanu's (Croods!) work on artstation or Emilie Vaccarini-Francis

Either way I will need some more trees and weird rocks!

Project Brush 17: Concept V2

Updated the concept brush painting set so I could experiment a bit more with new worlds

Added 7 new Distressed Pattern Brushes
Removed ones not being used
Updated the ink brushes to work the same way as Inker Brush collection
Adapted the base texture to be greyscale without white/transparent so will fill/accumulate when overpainted

@StuartRc  Woodland is breathtakingly beautiful!  The trees are really elegant.  And I have spotted some of my favorite brushes from your vegetation packs.  Not to mention the colors.  The two little creatures have a magical habitat!!

Thank You!....I was looking for a way to speed up ideas and sorted ended up working in reverse. Normally I ink then colour but in this case  relied on flat solid brushes to build the forms first...The vectoring will be a lot slower obviously...but have already defined what the objects are going to look like. The idea was to create a series of Environmental Biomes in (vector eventually!)

It is also really easy to do even though it looks complicated. i was following a series of tutorials on YouTube on how to create a landscape in 10 minutes...(took me a bit longer but I liked the technique!)... Try it yourself...It is by The Geek artist (here!). I have refined the process a lot and spent a lot of time redrawing details afterwards...hence the later images are less complex/detailed and with imported objects.

This is why the first image looks different (followed a tutorial!)..but I made it a bit too complex with the texturing me thinks!... So the process has just evolved for me!

I used the distress brush set but Inker sample set will do it maybe with a mix of organics (PB 08) and as  you noticed some of the vegetation ones

The colour can be changed in seconds!

I like it - I like it - I like it - I like it!

I typed it four times because there are four pictures. Number 4 is reminding me a bit of certain landscapes found in "Uru" (Myst game).

Wonderful work which has built-in wonder and mystery.

Absolutely beautiful work. A bit of Rodney Matthews and Roger Dean influence in the work, but at the same time, very original. Love the use of color, light/dark.

Thank you!  I am enjoying doing this one!

I had to look up Rodney Matthews!.. I can see what you mean!...impressive artist...oddly runs art classes very close to my location!....

Changing the colour was just about looking at time of day on another planet. Using the tutorial referenced above re-colouring used LUT imports to adjust greyscale images but I had a lot of trouble getting that to be effective. Opted for graduated/painted mask overlay. Also found that Gradient mapping is a much better option if painting in greyscale | BW
