Chinese in search results in US English online Help for AD

When I visit https://affinity.help/designer/en-US.lproj/index.html and search for healing or median the results look like this:

Neat, I need UK English to get that stuff, US English is just blank. Mac versus Windows? Safari v 12 with Mac OS 10.12.6

It’s a web page, so I don’t think it should depend on your OS, but (if it matters) my screenshots are from Safari on iPad. I specified ‘English (US)’ because I get no results at all if I set the language to ‘English (UK)’.

May be a safari bug. I found it interesting that I need UK English and you need US English. Also the resulting Chinese bits are different. Do you get a blank page for UK English?

Yes, I do. And the same if I search for Median in German or médian (or médiane) in French.

I can confirm that I no longer get Chinese in the results pane. In fact, I don’t get any results at all!

Wouldn’t it be better for a search like this to return a message such as ‘No results found’?

The search for median works for me this morning, @Alfred, in Safari on my iPad.

Is this the search for the word "Median"? There is no page entry for that in Designer's help either.

Interesting.

At the moment, using Firefox on Windows 10, I get no results for median or healing either in Designer's Help (web, or in-app). Which may not be surprising because there are no median or healing brushes in Designer; they're only in Photo.

It's also odd that your earlier search that prompted this topic showed healing brush and median brush results, if you were really searching in Designer.

Yes, I really was searching in Designer. It’s also odd that there were results relating to the Alignment commands and the Double Star Tool, neither of which has anything to do with medians or healing (unless you believe in astrology and the potential healing effects of a particular alignment of the stars).
