Ira Niva Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 I was completely happy with Affinity Photo until recently. I have found that when I export and resize file in Affinity Photo the result file appears very damaging, there is no artifact in original raw file, jpg or png file. But when I started to resize for uploading to print on demand there some part of image is completely missing. I processed all file similarly before, and all things worked perfectly. First, I notices problem with one file which I thought that I processed file too much in Affinity and something went wrong. But now it fresh photo file that I tried to crop and export in different size for print on demand and notices that this artifact is appeared always. In practice, I cannot use this software anymore. All exported files seems to be damaged. Best regards, Irina Safonova Quote

Ira Niva Posted November 4, 2021 Author Posted November 4, 2021 Thanks ! I have checked the problem is now gone away when hardware acceleration is deactivated. I do not understand there were not any problem before, only after I updated software. Best regards, Ira Niva Quote
GDCo Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 well it is 2024 and the issue was not fixed apparently Quote
Dan C Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 5 minutes ago, GDCo said: well it is 2024 and the issue was not fixed apparently I can confirm this issue was marked as 'Fixed' in Affinity Photo V2.0, though can still occur in V1 due to specific OpenCL Hardware Acceleration paths that were removed or resolved in V2. Unfortunately these fixes were therefore not possible to 'port back' to V1. If you're still using Affinity V1, please open Edit > Preferences > Performance and untick Hardware Acceleration - your images will now export as expected. Please don't post in multiple threads at once regarding an issue on the Affinity Forums, as I can see you have also posted this here & here. I hope this clears things up. Quote
