Many times I have shapes and objects that when I select them the colour does not update correctly in the colour box, I have to resort to the eyedropper tool to know what colour it is, it is very uncomfortable. All the black squares were created in the same way, and adding the colour from a hue. *It happens to me in designer, publisher and photo. I add a video example. I'm having a hard time understanding your problem by looking at the movie, without more description.
