digitalvt
Have a file that I have been working on, has a huge number of small objects. Have updated to Monterey (12.01) on a MacBook Pro 13" M1 2020, 16Gb RAM. Affinity Designer 1.10.4. Can't open the file, just have the "spinny beach ball", even if i leave the computer alone, the work does not show. Eventually I get the objects in the layers toolbar, but never see the image I'm editing.
SPaceBar
Hi @digitalvt Welcome to the Affinity forums! I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your file. Would you be able to upload it here so I can take a closer look?
digitalvt
Thanks. Have uploaded it. I'm not a graphics expert. But the earlier incarnation of this file works currently (v1), but not the later (v2, with more objects added) in the the new OS/updated version of AD. Thanks! SPaceBar
Hi @digitalvt I have reproduced the issue on iMac with Big Sur on both 1.10.4 and 1.10.3 Designer. I have managed to open it on 1.10.4 Designer on Windows and can see that there is a mask containing 14000 clipped objects that were slowing it down considerably. I will get this issue logged.
