manu schwendener
Apparently I'm not the only one who'd like to do that. Most 'natural' for me would be cmd+d = duplicate file. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15097-ap-is-there-a-way-to-duplicate-an-open-picture https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15178-creating-versions-of-the-same-opened-layers-file https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15134-duplication-of-one-photo Quote manuschwendener.ch
Staff MEB Posted November 24, 2015 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2015 Hi manuschwendener.ch, Currently, the quickest way to do this, as far as i know, is to select all layers (press ⌥⌘A ), then copy (press ⌘C ) then File ▸ New From Clipboard (press ⌥⇧⌘N ). I agree it's a little cumbersome. A Duplicate menu command and a shortcut would help here :) anon1 and manu schwendener 2 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

For me, 'copy of filename' or 'filename copy' would be better. * if I duplicate several open photos the copies are all called 'Untitled' anon1 1 Quote manuschwendener.ch
Staff MEB Posted November 29, 2015 Staff Share Posted November 29, 2015 Hi manuschwendener.ch Yes, all of them will be named untitled since you're not actually duplicating a document but creating a new one from from existing clipboard data. That's why i said a dedicated duplicate command would be useful here. It should attach copy or similar to the name of the file or let you rename it. manu schwendener 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
