Publisher permanently showing guides

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the Affinity forums @Bradley Barlow!

What you see are outlines of text frames and not guides. Guides are the help lines you drag from the rulers oder the Guides Manager. To hide the outlines, click the Preview Mode button from the top toolbar.

Or turn off View > Show > Text Flow.

Thanks! So why were the frames you describe being hidden/shown in the previous version? 🤔

These are temporary viewing settings and work for documents, not for the app entirely. They can be set differently for various open .afpubs. And both viewing options influence each other: activating the viewing mode "Preview" automatically deactivates "Show Text Flow". But once you have "Show Text Flow" unticked than unticking "Preview Mode" does not activate "Show Text Flow".
