Bento
Hi, Just made the 1.10.3 update. Cannot work, keeps crashing on cmd+s and autosave. Tried disabling hardware acceleration with no change. Tried OpenGL, to Software, to Metal with no change. (Software is horrible though) Mac mini M1 here with Big Sur 11.2.3 . I need to work, so what are my options? Is there somewhere i can fetch a prior version ? Help needed Thx. JohnoGolfer
if you bought AP through Serif then you should be able to download a previous version from the following links below... Windows https://store.serif.com/en-gb/update/windows/photo/1/ Mac https://store.serif.com/en-gb/update/macos/photo/1/ hope that helps 🙂
Bento
Seems like it corrupted only the file i was working on when it prompted me for update. Is there a debogger panel? Bento
Ok weird things here. Feels like a corrupt file as i can't do better with prior version. But the file was working fine before. Can an update corrupt a file? Quote Art Director at Tribu And Co | French web agency - See our work at http://www.tribu-and-co.fr

It's better to report this in one of the bug forums: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/71-bug-reporting/ They might even be able to repair a corrupted file. Indeed you're right, sadly can't move the thread now though. But seems i've been able to isolate the culprit. I've been copying/pasting every items group by group and then one by one (when a group was crashing, because yes the file was also crashing on copy/pasting). All onto a new file. A bit time consuming but looks like i can go on now. Hilltop
Just start a new thread again and ask the mods to (re)move this one.
Staff Lee D Posted November 1, 2021 Staff Share Posted November 1, 2021 @Bento File corruption mostly occurs during saving/loading of the file, the chances increase if the files aren't stored locally. If you do experience a reproducible crash, please make a new thread detailing the issue, you can also retrieve the crash reports from the OS to include.
