How save astrophotography stack files (of different sessions) before doing the stacking?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

When trying to seriously capture faint deep-sky objects, with my rather unprofessional equipment (just a mirrorless camera and a 300mm lens), I tend to do it with several sessions over several days. Each day I add another session to the stack and see if I can squeeze some more photons out.

Each day, however, I have to select all lights, darks, bias, flats of each previous session, over and over again, before adding the files of the new session.

I didn't find a way to save these file selections, so that I don't have to do this repetitive task every session. Did I miss it somewhere or does it not exist?

Thanks for any pointers.

Cheers,

Dom

I would like to know when Affinity will save AP stacks as well. No to be able to save darks, bias, darkflats, flats for each image length and temp keeps me from using this feature and go to other stacking options. Please add this option. Please?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Generally Serif will not comment on their future plans. And this is the Questions part of the forums. If you want an enhancement to one of the products you can request it in the Feature Requests & Suggestions part of the forums, which is where the planners look for suggestions. It's best to do a forum search first, and add your agreement to an existing request if there is one already. But you can post your own if you don't find one there already.
