NevraArts
Affinity Designer is great, with some limits that I already have suggested to fix), and I would be more than happy to jump 100% on that over Adobe Illustration (which makes a hell of a nightmare to produce also the super simple stuff). Unfortunately, when it comes to MOTION GRAPHICS, it is now impossible to work on After Effects with affinity designers Vectors* SUGGESTION/QUESTION: is there any plan to actually put out in the market an after effects equivalent from affinity, to produce motion graphics within this suite? if not, is there any hope to get a full compatibility? thanks. *there is a walk around but: 1) it works 50% of the times 2) also when it works, it creates a huge mess in the file list which makes actually impossible to work with many projects. NevraArts
I see that most of the other topics get e reply, I’m guessing this is bad news for my hopes (and I had to remake my yearly Adobe subscription meanwhile)
Guest
As you've probably noticed nobody knows what Serif has planned, so whether or not vectors from Designer will be more compatible with After Effects in the future is anybody's guess. That said, the folks at Cavalry did some work a while back to ensure files from Affinity could be used reliably and easily. While Cavalry is not a 1:1 After Effects replacement—depending on your needs it might be a viable option for you.
