Kit Chapel Posted October 13, 2021 Share Posted October 13, 2021 (edited) I worked for affinity photo for a long time and had no problems. Now downloaded fonts began to break. Just one day, all the projects with fonts broke down at once. You go to the project, there instead of all your fonts arial. It is impossible to put it back by force, because all installed fonts are displayed in red as non-working. Only a complete reinstallation of AP and all fonts helps, but after a random time, the fonts break again. Jay Shiells Posted October 18, 2021 Share Posted October 18, 2021 Hi, I am experiencing the same issue and have been intermittently for a week or so. Some days the fonts work as expected and then other days the same red (?) error in place of the font name. I am experiencing the same issue in both Affinity Designer & Photo with the most up to date versions installed. I have no font management applications in place. Whereby some of the fonts which were once in red are now in another language all together. I also do still have some fonts with the ? in red error. If you reinstall them via the preferences panel I believe this issue shouldn't happen again. So I can investigate this further please could you provide a copy of the Gilbert font and the font showing with a Chinese name? If might also help if you could provide a copy of your document. Jay Shiells Posted October 20, 2021 Share Posted October 20, 2021 @Callum Hi, I can now confirm that after complete removal and re-installation of each font from the font installation page within preference's, all seem to be working without issue. It may be important to note that I did so on both Affinity Photo and Designer and restarted both applications afterwards. From that point on any newly installed fonts now syncs between each app (Photo/Designer) and any removal or installation of any particular font is mirrored in the other app. So thank you for your help in resolving my issue, I will report if any further problems arise but believe it's resolved.
